Making $3.25 an hour at the time was solid gold. Always had money for gas and could just go hang out with friends anytime and gas was never an issue

It’s weird knowing he only has hours left. I don’t know the story on how he died. I think I read heart attack. He looks fit and was a younger man. I hate to speculate, but I wonder if drugs were involved? I guess it doesn’t matter. I just feel badly for someone I never met and died 35 years ago.

That other "Nelson" that he met at the fountain is Brazilian for sure. On June 11 1988 I was arriving in NYC. I lived for 2 years in a tiny attic almost on the corner of 62st and 1ave. Just across the Ave was the famous "Chippendales". I was a carriage driver in C.P. then I moved to Astoria, Queens where I lived for 26 years. I moved around a little after that.. Connecticut, Colorado, Florida and since March 2024 I'm living in Dickinson, ND.

His aunt Jeanie, curling her hair, served in the house of representatives for a time!
